Thornberry one clear in Ontario

Thornberry, who is looking for his first Canadian Tour win, completed two rounds at seven-under-par 135.
Tom Glissmeyer is alone in second at minus-six after carding a 68 of his own on Friday. Michael Jensen managed an even-par 71 and is alone in third at five-under-par 137.
Thornberry started on No. 10 at Greystone Golf Club on Friday and got going with a birdie on the par-five. He gave that stroke back with a bogey on the par-three 14th.
He fought right back with birdies on 15 and 16 to get to six-under. Thornberry birdied the par-five 18th, but gave that stroke back with a bogey on the first. Thornberry was able to take the second-round lead thanks to a birdie on the par-three sixth.
First-round leader Andrew Parr stumbled to a two-over 73 to slide into a share of fourth at four-under-par 138. He was joined there by Adam Hadwin (69). Rod Spittle (71) is another stroke back at minus-three.
NOTES: The cut line fell at four-over-par 146 with 64 players moving on to the weekend...Brady Stockton, who stands 10th on the Canadian Tour Order of Merit, was the top-ranked player to miss the cut.
